NL Getting started
As your coach, I will help you define clear goals and set priorities. We will start your journey together and I will coach you through the execution of your plans. Your goal may be personal or business related. My sole purpose is to make you happy with the results. I will try to show you different perspectives and you can use me as a sounding board.
By asking you lots of questions and reflecting with you, I try to help you make conscious choices. When you are self-aware, you know what you do and do not want, and you have a better sense of what is good for you and what is not.
It also makes you aware of your own responsibilities, for example in situations and relationships.
You may need to adjust to a new role or a new job. You may be struggling with a difficult project or challenge. Is your work-life balance out of whack? I can help you. Change is not always smooth and we live in a world where things are not always simple or clear, and I would like to brainstorm with you about this.
My Way of Working
After our initial meeting to see if we are a match, we will get to work. We will meet online via Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, but we will also have frequent face-to-face sessions at a location of your choice, in your office or perhaps over lunch or a good walk.
About Jan Joosten
Business is my passion. During my career in international sales & business development and later as founder and CEO of my own company (Libra Energy) I gained a lot of experience in international business. After selling my company I started to focus on coaching and mentoring.
My family means everything to me. I am grateful for the three best women in my life. With my wife Sandra, daughters Rosa-Li and Lize-Jin (and border collie Charlie) we love to travel and enjoy life.
In 2021 I was awarded the Certificate for Coaching at Cambridge. This was important to me as I want to coach on a sound theoretical basis as well as offering my personal experience.
I regularly collaborate with my fellow coaches Adrian Hammill and Daniëlle Hovius. Advance Coaching is a member of the Association for Coaching and the Association for Professional Executive Coaches and Supervision. As a coach and mentor I fully comply with the AC guidelines and the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.
